TNM Super League debutants Creck Sporting Football Club, have sent a strong message to other Super league teams as they have started the league with a convincing 3-1 victory against Mighty Tigers at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.

Former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers defender who also happens to be the team’s captain Hadji Wali opened the scoring for Sporting, 27 minutes in the first half before Dalitso Nahipa increased the lead 5 minutes later.

Tigers pulled one back through Masambero Kalua but Babangida Ishaya consolidated Sporting’s lead in the 57th minute to give the Lilongwe based side their first ever maximum points in the elite league.

Elsewhere, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers gave away a 1-nil lead to draw 1-1 against Kamuzu Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium.

Christopher Kumwembe had put the Nomads in front with a beautiful header in the 29th minute but the soldiers equalised in the 72nd minute through Zeliat Nkhoma.

In Mzuzu, a late goal by Isaac Msiska was enough to give Mzuzu City Hammers maximum points against Civil Service United.

In Karonga, the much anticipated Karonga derby between Baka City and Karonga United ended in favor of Karonga with a lone goal from Blessings Mwalilino.

Sunday’s results means that Creck Sporting are now leading on the log table followed by Silver Strikers and Moyale Barracks.

Baka City are the only new comers who have lost their first match as the other super league debutant, FOMO FC  defeated Bangwe All Stars on Saturday.
