Scorchers striker Tabitha Chawinga has signed a contract with World Star Betting as its brand ambassador worth USD 21,000 ( about over K21 million) for a period of one year.
Confirming the news, World Star Betting Director Timothy Kandimba said the contract deal see Chawinga promoting the company while in Malawi only.
Kandimba said they have opted for Chawinga because of her prominence in women football.
On her part,Tabitha expressed her excitement saying she is happy and ready to take up the challenge.
Tabitha became the first African female footballer to win the golden boot award in Italy when she scored 23 goals in 21 matches for Inter Milan Women.
