Blue Eagles have reduced the gap between themselves and TNM super league leaders Nyasa Big Bullets to two points with a 1-0 victory over struggling Sable Farming FC at the Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.
Micium Mhone scored the only goal of the match just four minutes from kick-off.
After the game Blue Eagles’ player Paul Master was voted man of the match for his wonderful performance during the match.
The win has taken the Area 30 side to 59 points two points behind Bullets, and the People’s team have played two games less than the men in uniform.
Defeat has left Sable still hovering dangerously in the drop zone with a paltry 24 points from 28 games.
