Two inmates in the country have been selected to pursue Business Administration (Marketing) and Curinary Arts at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS ) and Mzuzu University (MZUNI ) respectively.
National Prison spokesperson, Chimwemwe Shaba confirmed of the development yesterday saying this is the fifth consecutive year that they have sent inmates to public universities.
Said Shaba”It is a stamp of our seriousness in advancing our correctional agenda in management of prisons.”
According to Shaba, the two are among the 8,552 students that have been selected to various public universities across the country.
Last year, five inmates were selected to various public universities.
