A new era of confident communication has begun at the University of Malawi, as the Unima Toastmasters Club officially launched on Saturday.

With a mission to nurture public speaking skills among students, the club aims to create a community of articulate and persuasive individuals.

David McEwin Tamula, President of Unima Toastmasters, emphasized the importance of public speaking, citing its relevance in various aspects of life, from professional presentations to social gatherings.

The club’s objectives align with those of Toastmasters International, a global organization dedicated to empowering individuals to become more effective communicators.

Robert Bright Salijeni, a member of Toastmasters International and Eloquent Toastmasters in Blantyre, praised the initiative, highlighting the benefits of public speaking skills in interviews, speeches, and addressing public gatherings.

As Unima Toastmasters embarks on this journey, it is poised to transform the lives of its members and create a lasting impact on the university community.
