The departed deputy regional governor for UTM for the centre , the late Philbert Yabwalo has finally been laid to rest
Politicians, business people, local leaders and family members on sunday afternoon gathered at Chilanga Headquarters in the area of Senior Chief Kaomba in Kasungu to pay their last respects .
Yabwalo died on Friday night at Kasungu District Hospital after succumbing to diabetes and high blood pressure.Various speakers have hailed late Yabwalo for being sociable with different without regard to political or other affiliations. Among those in attendance and who spoke at the funeral is the Minister of Labour Ken Kandodo Banda.
Also in attendance was the deputy speaker of parliament Hon Madalitso Kazombo. Yabwalo, 52, is survived by a wife, seven children and eleven grand children. In 2019, he contested as shadow MP for UTM in Kasungu Central constituency.Yabwalo was a business man
