Vitumbiko Gubuduza has been appointed the new Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) interim-President with immediate.
The former Civonets Netball Club shooter and Blantyre and Districts Netball League (BDNL) chairperson will lead the association for a year with the support of interim general secretary Yamikani Kauma, treasurer Cecilia Mtukule-Bondwe and committee members Tamara Fweta, Fernando Ligola, Justice Katika and Margret Maluwa.
The interim committee was appointed during a round table discussion the Malawi National Council of Sport(MNCS) conducted with NAM regional and district committee chairpersons on Monday at Kamuzu Institute for Sports in Lilongwe following the resignation of the Abigail Sharif-led executive committee a few days ago.
In an interview with 247 Malawi News Editor Chisomo Phiri, Gubuduza said her committee will strive to unify the netball fraternity and make the sport a winning brand.
Gubuduza is a lawyer, who works as NBS Bank head of compliance.
NAM is the governing body of netball in Malawi.
