Wanderers, Eagles share the spoils as TN Stars come from behind to draw against Civil Service United

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers maintained their third position in the TNM Super League table following a 1-1 draw with second-placed Blue Eagles FC on Sunday.

Wanderers’ Muhammad Sulumba put his side in the lead in the 6th minute but Micium Mhone hit back for the Eagles in the 33rd minute after a goalkeeping error by Richard Chipuwa.

In the second half, both sides created a number of scoring opportunities but failed to turn them into goals as it ended 1-all after the final whistle.



At Chitowe Stadium, Mafco FC were 1-0 winners against Dedza Dynamos courtesy of a Bernard Chimaimba’s goal.

In Kasungu, Civil Service United gave away a 2- nil lead to draw 2-2 against TN Stars.

Bashir Maunde and Moses Banda scored for the civil servants while Martin Msewe and Frank Chizuze equalised for the hosts.

Civil are on position 7 with 16 points while the Kasungu based side remain bottom on the log table with 9 points from 13 games.

In another match played on Sunday, Karonga United left it late to snatch an away victory against Rumphi United at Rumphi stadium. Khumbo Msowoya scored the only goal of the match.

Elsewhere, Kamuzu Barracks and Sable Farming played out to a 1-all draw at Civo Stadium.

Chimwemwe Chisambi scored for the soldiers while Christopher Gototo scored for the visitors.

Bullets remain top with 35 points followed by Blue Eagles who are perched on second position with 29 points.
