He has been to places many thought were no go areas for the ruling Malawi Congress Part. Every rally he holds is commanding thousands of people thronging to hear the good news about Chakwera government. Indeed the name Ken Zikhale Ngoma is now synonymous with mega rallies and thousands chanting Chakwera!Chakwera!. For those that thought MCP is dead, then Zikhale has perfectly reminded them that MCP and President Chakwera are here to stay and will focus on developing the country.
A quick research by this publication shows that Dr Ken Zikhale Ngoma approval ratings has sky rocketed. In fact statistics shows 4 in every 5 Malawians are highly satisfied with his performance as the Homeland Security Minister and are wishing if all the Ministers were as no nonsense in their approach as Zikhale. Others are saying if Chakwera had 5 or more ministers as hardworking as Zikhale then the fortunes for this country could have been different.
There is no doubt that Zikhale is a masterful politician, his shrewd acumen as a political strategist is something probably the opposition parties would wish they had. It is no doubt that himself as the Director of strategic planning, he has proving that he is not just mere words but lives by his actions. A few months ago, when he started galvanising the MCP hierarchy to start having rallies, many didn’t take him seriously. Many even in the MCP had given up about the Southern Region, to others it was just a region that wouldn’t warm up to MCP. As brave as he is, Zikhale embarked on rallies with focus to pound the Southern Region. He has engaged the local Malawians, the local chiefs and in short period of time has become the darling of the people thereby increasing MCP visibility in the south.
As energetic as he is , Zikhale has not restricted himself to the South but has been able to go in all the regions engaging Malawians and reassuring them that President Chakwera is here to fulfil all the promises he made to Malawi.
Over the weekend Dr Zikhale was in Chamama in Kasungu as a guest of honour at a rally that also had Hon Khumbize Chiponda, Deputy Speaker Madalitso Kazombo, Mike Bango, and others . In his address Zikhale repeated his call that MCP and President Chakwera will win the next election with over 70% of the votes . He however cautioned the people to put their hearts in the affairs of the party, making sure that when time comes to register for voting they should go in large numbers
